Strategy Field Study - Indigenous Business Option (IBO) - Application Form 2025/26

The Indigenous Business Option (IBO) allows MBA students to complete the Strategy Field Study (‘601’) in an Indigenous context. If selected for the IBO, students will work with a certified Indigenous business in Canada toward furthering their strategic objectives. Indigenous business and community development will play an important role in the project.

The companies are recruited and vetted by the 601 Office. Students are expected to attend a one-day workshop on “The Indigenous Economic Development Landscape in Canada” on Saturday, September 6.

Travel to visit the client site is encouraged if feasible, but is not required.

Students interested in participating in the IBO are asked to complete this application by June 22, 2025. Whether a student has been selected for this option will be communicated by June 30, 2025. If accepted, a firm commitment is required by July 7, 2025, to reserve the spot. If the commitment is not received on time, the spot will be made available to another student.
